When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. When you upload a nutrition label for scanning, we process the image to extract label data. We store the extracted data and compliance reports associated with your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the LabelRight compliance checking service
- To process your uploaded nutrition labels and generate compliance reports
- To manage your account and subscription
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, report notifications)
- To monitor service health and prevent abuse
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. Uploaded images are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and enforce strict Content Security Policies.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate LabelRight:
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
- OpenRouter — AI vision model for label data extraction
- Polar — Subscription billing and payment processing
- Sentry — Error monitoring (no personal data sent)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
Your scan data and reports are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual scans from your dashboard at any time. If you close your account, all associated data will be deleted within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your compliance reports
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — specifically for authentication session management via Supabase. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
